The Future of American Egress
Looking ahead, Darrell Shaw envisions American Egress expanding into multiple regional chapters to maintain the intimacy and effectiveness of its gatherings. He explains that while the organization is growing, he wants to avoid a “mega church” atmosphere where individual connections can get lost. "You want people to feel like they’re part of something close-knit," Shaw says. By establishing smaller, localized groups, American Egress can ensure that members have personal access to mentors, resources, and peers who are committed to their success.
Shaw emphasizes that preserving this sense of community is central to the organization’s mission. With plans for regional chapters, members will continue to benefit from face-to-face interactions that build lasting bonds. This “lightning in a bottle” approach aims to foster the supportive, goal-oriented environment that American Egress champions, allowing members to thrive and grow together.
